User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Steps to reproduce:
(1) Add multiple inboxes to Thunderbird (I have 4 on multiple machines)
(2) Set folder view to "unified folders"
Actual results:
Unified inbox only shows 2 of 4 inboxes for unread messages (see screenshot)
Expected results:
Should show total number across all inboxes.

Thanks Joel! Confirming based on reporter's screenshot. Minor glitch.
Total number of unreads in the unified folders parent inbox doesn't match the added number of unreads in the sub-inboxes, some accounts are excluded from the total count.
- Joel, anything special/different about the two bottom inboxes which haven't been counted?
- Are all inboxes same acct type (pop vs. imap)?
- Any filtering involved?
Reported already as bug 1777606. Note bug 1777606 comment #9 (quote):
As for the unified folder not working at all: That's likely related to the mass MFS exodus that was fixed in bug 1773822. If the MSF is deleted, the unified folder is likely broken.

The problem is more than just the number actually. The "unified inbox" doesn't actually have emails from the accounts not being counted at all. I have to go to the specific email account (for the ones not being counted) to actually read my email.

This problem goes beyond "unified inbox" - I just did a search of my unified sent folder for an email I knew that I had sent and came back empty. I then went to the individual sent box for the specific email and I found it. The entire unified setup appears to be broken.
FIX:
- Right Click on Unified Inbox folder and select 'Properties'
- Click on 'Choose'
- check through the list and make sure the 'Inbox' is selected for each mail account.
- click on 'OK'
- select option 'Match all messages'
- Click on 'Update'
confirm this fixes the issue.
User in forum reported - updated to 102.2.1, emails no longer show in Unified Inbox.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1387958
All emails show in the 'sub folder Inboxes'
Updating unchecked all checkboxes in the Unified folder Properties.
This bug is not so much about the count of emails as to understanding why the 'Properties' had it's selected checkboxes deselected.
There was nothing to count.
It may also effect other created search result folders (not part of the 'Unified') - I'll report if come across any in Support Forum.

Perhaps a result of imap folders sometimes going AWOL?
Such as bug 1787609

Joel,
Does the issue still occur in version 102? In 115?

Appears to be resolved. Thanks! TB115+ is beautiful. Will report a couple other less serious issues separately.
