(In reply to Thomas D. (:thomas8) from comment #2)
Walt, does this reproduce for you?
It does not reproduce for me using Thunderbird 102.1.1 on Windows 10 or Fedora 35 Linux.

After doing a fresh install of Windows 11 Pro 22H2 and installing the latest release of Thunderbird (102.3.2) the bug is back.

I am also experiencing this bug with Thunderbird 102.4.0 (64-bit) on an up-to-date Debian 10.
I am using the system theme and the 3 following add-ons: "Allow HTLM Temp"; "Manually sort folders"; and "Signal Spam".
Looking around on the Internet, the bug seems to affect other users: https://www.reddit.com/r/Thunderbird/comments/xhvzso/this_dumb_spaces_toolbar_keeps_reappearing_every/

Alex, any ideas why Thunderbird would lose Spaces Toolbar state information upon Win 11 reboot without closing TB before?
Shouldn't the OS reboot run as much of normal TB closing procedure as possible?
Could we force-save state information immediately when the toolbar state is changed?
Confirming for 102.5.0 (64-bit), Win 11, with appropriate STR as below.
Works when closing TB before OS reboot, fails when not closing TB first (I used red [x] button on title bar for closing TB).
Not the end of the world, but probably a bit annoying if it happens regularly for those who want the bar always hidden and do not close Thunderbird manually.
STR
- Hide Spaces Toolbar (via its last button)
- Do not close Thunderbird (important!)
- Restart Windows 11
- Start TB
Actual result
- Spaces Toolbar was hidden when restarting Windows without closing TB, but is now showing up again.
Expected result
- Spaces Toolbar should remain hidden

Reminiscent of my bug 1319047, where different methods of closing Thunderbird yield different outcomes, e.g. wrt prefs being saved or not.
