Steps to reproduce:

I always hide the places toolbar, as the current implementation is simply useless and wastes space, sorry for the bad words.

Now I restart Thunderbird, and its there again?

Actual results:

I restarted thunderbird, places toolbar is there again.

Expected results:

Not resetting any settings in the background. Even better make it useful to get rid of tabs.
