177953 - most form widgets don't print

found using 2002.10.31.04 on both 10.1.5 and 10.2.1. i noticed that most html
form widgets are not printed in chimera, either to a printer or to a pdf file
(via Preview).

here's a sample page to test --it doesn't matter if you entered stuff in fields
or made selections:

the only html form elements that get printed are the scrolling listboxes, and
the multiple-selection lists. everything else (input fields, textareas,
checkboxes, radiobuttons, single-select lists, etc.) won't be printed to paper
or pdf. (although values would be displayed in input fields and textareas, if
entered.)

No, things appear to have been substantially worse in 0.7 than they are with
0.8+

Currently (0.8+) only Check Boxes, Radio Buttons, "Submit" buttons, and the
"chrome" around Select menus don't print (the text of the options themselves do
print).

Last time I looked most widgets printed fine.  Is this a camino problem or a cocoa widgets problem or a cairo problem?  Are people still seeing this?

I have no idea, since we still can't print anything but blank pages on the trunk on PPC (bug 368933) :/

Form widgets are printing fine on PPC and Intel with the recent native theme and cairo changes.

With the patches in bug 368933 and friends, form widgets now print (sorta).  

1) All widgets (even text fields) print as gfx widgets instead of Aqua 
(for text fields, compare the search field at www.google.com in Camino from the 1.8 branch and then with these patches; the super-bevel crap is easy to see)

Are they really printing Aqua for you, Josh?

2) For some reason I can't explain, I can't get hyatt's form controls (attachment 99911 [details]) to print to paper, but they will print to PDF :?:

All of that stuff prints fine for me. I had a couple printing patches applied to fix printing to paper, but they don't have much to do with the widgets themselves drawing and both patches will be landing soon. Also I saw all of this stuff print a month or two ago before cairo printing broke again :)
