Maybe it's the server that's telling Thunderbird it's junk?

I do not know.
My friend told me that I could accidentally press key J. I do not know, I do not use this shortcut. I just got surprised that there is Junk even if I have it switched off. I think it came with this Junk flag.
Do you have an idea, why this bug report is not in the list of bugs?

I will carefully watch this strange behavior.

I have the same behavior on 102.6.0.
Junk filter is off for month now, but now and then mails get classified as *** Spam ***

Thunderbird uses the term Junk. If you are seeing anything using the term SPAM, especially *** Spam *** on subject lines the origin is not Thunderbird.
For a message to have been designated as junk by Thunderbird, the junk flag in the message list will be coloured. For instance, I have a Google IMAP account which today contains 11 messages, only one of which was placed in the Google spam folder by Thunderbird. The rest were filtered by Google.
Before this can even look like moving forward, we need to determine if a bug actually exists. So far I see no evidence of anything such at all. The mere existence of mail in an IMAP junk/spam folder is not proof there is anything wrong, or that Thunderbird is in any way involved in the mail getting there.
I would suggest reading the relevant support article http://mzl.la/1BsOG2o THe references to SPAM leaves me in mind of spamassasim See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1389715?utm_campaign=questions-reply&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email#answer-1538255

No, [not seeing this] up to now.
Thanks.
Did you determine why this was happening?
