Steps to reproduce:
When you're in addressbook and select a number of contact on the status line the number of contact selected is not reported anymore.
Expected results:
The lack of this info makes difficukt to know how many contacts are selected. If one wants to create lists eache of them having a precise number of contacts , (s)he has to count them manually

Thanks Leopoldo, good point. Not a priority though atm.

I don't think number of selected contacts has ever been shown in status bar - not in 91.13.1 (32-bit), Win10 anyway. Which makes this an RFE.
We've restored showing total number of contacts at the bottom of the directory pane for TB Daily in Bug 1745571; not yet landed on ESR TB 102.

I think the bug is actually requesting the number of selected contacts. I know that's something I've been missing.
I concur that knowing the number of selected contacts would be very useful for a variety of scenarios like creating mailing lists, sending messages to a defined group of people etc. I guess the main purpose is to verify that the number of selected people matches the group count of members/recipients which you have in mind.
