Thunderbird V102.5.0 displayed images from remote servers in the compose window when they were referenced from the signature. 102.5.1 does not.

In version 102.5.0 this loaded the image into the composer at compose time.
In 102.5.1 the image is not found or displayed until the message is saved to draft and reopened.

There is nothing in the error console to suggest there is a problem, nor is there anything but a broken image displayed in the composer.

Looking at what changed in 102.5.1 point me to Bug 1788096 as the only change in that release related to remote images. As it is under a security embargo, the regression is a guess.

@Wayne, I understand you have appropriate access to view bug 1788096, can you clean up my regression guessing please.

If this is intended behaviour, displaying a broken image, then some sort of user feedback is needed to clarify what the problem is and offer them a solution. Like allowing remote content for the message, or just allowing remote content entirely. The current situation is not a satisfactory user experience experience in my opinion.
