If we call MailUtils.getMsgHdrForMsgId to find a message, any folder we look in is forced to close unless it is known to be open in the UI somewhere. After replacing the 3-pane tab that check doesn't work any more. This causes a failure in browser_ext_messageDisplay.js which is commented out.
