User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open Firefox in safe mode.
Press Ctrl-O
Dialog box opens to select a file.
Dialog box is mostly not responsive. It can't be closed an no file can be selected.
This is with Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS and the snap install of firefox, version 109.0-2.
Actual results:
File Open dialog box is mostly not responsive. Some directories on the left respond to a mouse hover event, but nothing can be selected.
Expected results:
File Open dialog box should let me select a file and Firefox should open it.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Marking "confirmed". We got another report of what's probably the same thing in bug 1847809, with screenshot & screencast & performance profile over there.
From my experience seems that to reliably reproduce, you need to hold down Ctrl+O (or Ctrl+S) for a short while (on the order of like 0.5s, though longer will work too). If you release them too quickly, then the bug doesn't happen.
