Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0

Steps to reproduce:

Open Firefox in safe mode.
Press Ctrl-O
Dialog box opens to select a file.
Dialog box is mostly not responsive. It can't be closed an no file can be selected.

This is with Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS and the snap install of firefox, version 109.0-2.

Actual results:

File Open dialog box is mostly not responsive. Some directories on the left respond to a mouse hover event, but nothing can be selected.

Expected results:

File Open dialog box should let me select a file and Firefox should open it.

Marking "confirmed". We got another report of what's probably the same thing in bug 1847809, with screenshot & screencast & performance profile over there.

From my experience seems that to reliably reproduce, you need to hold down Ctrl+O (or Ctrl+S) for a short while (on the order of like 0.5s, though longer will work too). If you release them too quickly, then the bug doesn't happen.
