With the imap mark as deleted model (when I delete a message, just mark it as deleted) deleting doesn't do anything anymore.

Oh seems to just be missing all the styling of being deleted so isn't broken even if it looks broken.

The other part is that it doesn't advance to next message when deleting using mark-as-deleted. Will file that separately.

There are a couple of extra quirky issues here.
The row should be refreshed and get the imapdeleted property to we can style it: https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/5b1c97bb84d351d2ab41151f37e2765341ac2df8/mailnews/base/src/nsMsgDBView.cpp#1289
It doesn't happen.
If I select another message and select again the previously deleted one, the message is deleted from imap and the tree is invalidated. This shouldn't happen.
The trash icon (delete button) should be replaced with a "restore" button.

Right - though atm messages marked-as-deleted (e.g. using 102) aren't shown as such either. So I presume the whole styling is missing.
