Steps to reproduce
- Open a PDF file.
- Go to Settings > Customize and make sure that the "Scroll to hide toolbar" option from Gestures is enabled.
- Tap the 3 dot menu and select the "Find in page" option.
- Observe the "Find in page" bar displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Expected behavior
The "Find in page" bar is displayed without visual defects.
Actual behavior
An additional black space of the same size as the "Find in page" bar is displayed above it, in the color of the selected theme when the toolbar is set to be dynamic, although this does not apply to PDF files.
Device information
- Firefox version: Beta 111.0b3, Nightly 112.0a1
- Android device model: Huawei MediaPad M2, Xiaomi 12 Pro (and any other device).
- Android OS version: Android 5.1.1, Android 13
Any additional information?
Note that this is not reproducible on normal websites.
The issue is also reproducible in previous and current Nightly versions. Also reproducible in Private Browsing.

The empty space does seem like one intended for the toolbar.
Curios on how this was configured:
- whether it is being set to be scrollable or fixed in place
- whether it is being placed at the top or at the bottom.
:petru, the toolbar is not dynamic on PDF files, however the "Scroll to hide toolbar" option was toggled ON.
In what concerns the toolbar position, the issue is reproducible regardless of the "Top" or "Bottom" placement.
Re-tested this with the "Scroll to hide toolbar" option toggled OFF, and the empty space intended for the toolbar is no longer displayed. I'll update the STR with this info. Thanks!
