"Compact" button, when added to Menu toolbar, does not work

Steps to reproduce:

Enable Menu toolbar, add "Compact" button.
Click on "Compact" button in Menu toolbar while a folder with deleted messages is open.

Actual results:

"Compact" button is present in Menu toolbar.
Clicking on it does not cause any action to be performed.

Expected results:

Clicking on "Compact" button causes deleted messages to be purged.
(This works when "Compact" button is added to the main toolbar)

No, it's not the same problem as one with Unified toolbar "Compact" button.

"Compact" button in Unified toolbar did not work before and does now, however the same button in Menu toolbar still does not work.
