[Prerequisites]:

• Have a new profile with the following prefs set:
• browser.search.region to US
• browser.urlbar.quicksuggest.dataCollection.enabled to true
• browser.urlbar.merino.providers to adm,top_picks
• browser.urlbar.bestMatch.enabled to true

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Open the Nightly browser with the profile from the prerequisites.
2. Navigate to about:preferences#privacy page.
3. Scroll down to the "Dismissed suggestions" subsection.
4. Click the "Learn More" button.
5. Observe the SUMO page.

[Expected result]:

• There are notes regarding the new restore dismissed suggestions functionality.

[Actual result]:

• There are NO notes regarding the new restore dismissed suggestions functionality.

I believe the Dismissed Suggestions section is only available to a small number of users. But I want to confirm this. Tagging Chris here for more info. Also, is this riding the 114 train?

I have verified this issue on the latest Firefox 112.0.2 Release, Beta 113.0b9 and Nightly 114.0a1 build on Windows 10 x64, macOS 13.1 and Linux Mint 20.

• The new "How can I manage my address bar suggestions?" section is correctly displayed on the SUMO page on Firefox 112.0.2 Release and Firefox 113.0b9 Beta.
• However, the new section is not displayed on the latest Nightly 114.0a1 builds, but I have noticed that while the SUMO page is refreshed the new section is briefly displayed.

@Alice is there a limitation on the Nightly build for this section to not show up? Or maybe there is an issue that is only briefly displayed while refreshing the page? I am also attaching a screen recording of this behavior in Nightly.

This is bug 1743073. Firefox 114 is not in the "Customize this article" version picker and the "default" Firefox version is used (it's still at version 110). See also https://github.com/mozilla/sumo/issues/968 which is still open.

Since the relevant section is for fx112, we could update the default Firefox version from 110 to 112 (bug 1827916) to fix the display in this article.

Thank you Alice for clarifying this. Considering this, I will mark this bug as Verified - Fixed for Firefox Release 112 and Beta 113.
