Preconditions

• Install the Firefox en-CA build
• Set browser.search.region to CA in about:config
• Flip following prefs in about:config:
  extensions.formautofill.addresses.capture.v2.enabled = true
  extensions.formautofill.addresses.supported = on
• Use CA VPN to test

Steps to reproduce

1. Log into https://www.amazon.ca/ , add an item to bag and navigate to delivery/checkout page
2. Fill in the Address Form and press the submit button
3. Observe the Address Doorhanger
4. Verify the newly saved address in about:preferences#privacy / Saved Addresses...

Expected result

• All the details filled in the address form are captured in the address save doorhanger and stored properly in the address management page.

Actual result

• The title abbreviations and suffixes(mr, dr, jr, sr etc.) are not captured in the Address Doorhanger or saved in the address management.
• Province is not captured in the Address Address Doorhanger(it is not autofilled either).
• ZIP code is not captured in the Address Address Doorhanger or saved in the address management( it is not autofilled either).
• Country(Canada) is saved in the Province field in the address management.

Regression range

• Not a recent regression because the feature is disabled by default.

Additional notes

• The address doorhanger is not triggered in Google Chrome.

Actual result

• The title abbreviations and suffixes(mr, dr, jr, sr etc.) are not captured in the Address Doorhanger or saved in the address management.

This issue will be fixed in Bug 1836438

• Province is not captured in the Address Address Doorhanger(it is not autofilled either).
• ZIP code is not captured in the Address Address Doorhanger or saved in the address management( it is not autofilled either).
• Country(Canada) is saved in the Province field in the address management.

These issues have the same root cause as 1753638

I have tested this issue in Firefox 138.0a1, and I can confirm that all the previously reported actual results are no longer reproducible. The address details are now properly captured and stored as expected.

Additionally, I verified the behavior with:
extensions.formautofill.heuristics.detectDynamicFormChanges set to false and extensions.formautofill.heuristics.fillOnDynamicFormChanges set to false, and the same behavior occurs.
This confirms that the issue was not fixed by the Dynamic Form Fix 1837161.

Based on these findings, I will close this bug as WORKSFORME.

I have tested this on the latest Nightly build (2025-03-12), and I can confirm that the save address doorhanger appears correctly when the pref extensions.formautofill.addresses.supported is set to detect.
