+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1830600 +++

There's still work to be done after the bug 1830600, but the work needed was too large for that bug, especially wrt possible uplift requests.

At least some parts of nsIMsgWindow.idl is not operational in Supernova (and some probably wasn't in great state earlier either).

Is this really the right time to do this so close to ESR?
Is it safe to remove and rework this low level code with just a few cycles left before next ESR?
Wouldn't be better to do this after ESR is shipped, maybe in September?

Right, the actual removal would probably be best to do later in the year. Until then we can keep passing nulls around.
I think emptying out the interface in the mean time is safe enough.
