1843269 - Stuck tooltips on Windows when using Win+D shortcut

Steps to reproduce:

When hovering a message subject in the message list (table view), a tooltip appears showing the full subject text. This is of course expected. Now, I use the "show desktop" shortcut (Windows key+D).

Actual results:

All windows disappear as expected, including the one of Thunderbird. However, the tooltip stays on the screen and is visible on the desktop. Moreover, if I now open another application, the Thunderbird tooltip is always there and there's no way to make it go away besides going back in Thunderbird. I think I never observed this bug with previous versions of Thunderbird.

Expected results:

The tooltip should never be displayed over other windows! And if it is necessary to set it "topmost", it should definitely disappear as soon as TB's window is out of focus.

This is a firefox bug. see Bug 1843205

But Bug 1843205 is marked wontfix for 115. Does this mean Thunderbird will suffer this for a year? I am ignorant as to how Thunderbird tracks Firefox updates.
