Details

The shopping sidebar has a very annoying layout shift during the loading progress.

STR:

  1. open an amazon.com product page
  2. reload the page a few times

Actual:

The content of the sidebar jumps. See https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KVNgwijrzuY. Bug 1846768 regressed the reload case. But the layout shift was already there before this change when you navigated through different products.

Expected:

A stable sidebar without layout shift. Look, for example, at the close button. The button visibly changes its position, and this should not happen at all, neither on a page reload nor when you open another product.
