Steps to reproduce:
After upgrade to Thunderbird 115 it is no longer possible to select multiple IMAP folders. This limits usage dramatically, I am looking in downgrading now (I did this 2 months ago already because of slowness of new interface). After the new try it is working well, but this issue drives me crazy.
I use it generally for the following:
I am member of many mailing lists. All mailinglist posts are placed in separate folders by IMAP filter rules. I often pick a few messages I am interested to read and want all the others to be switched to "read" (as I am done with them). I often do this for multiple folders at once: Select all of them with Ctrl/Shift+Click, then right click and select "mark folder as read".
The other problem is restructuring your folders. You can't move multiple IMAP folders anymore, which limit's Thunderbird's usage for setting up a folder layout for your inbox.
Actual results:
When you click on first folder, shift click on last foder or use ctrl-click on multiple folders only the last clicked one is selected.
Expected results:
all folder should be marked, so you can right click and say "mark folder as read", so all folders get all their messages read
