RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1845391

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/118.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

I have a few hundred messages in my inbox at any given time. If I move to an older block of the messages, open one, then delete it while open, the inbox jumps to a more recent place in the inbox list. This appears randomly and sometimes happens once, but more often three times.

I have re-created the inbox MSF file and done a cache delete and upgraded to the latest version of Thunderbird.

Actual results:

See above; however, the problem persists.

Expected results:

The open message should be deleted and the next message in the queue should be highlighted -- there should be no inconsistent jumping to a random place with more recent messages.
