RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1827042

People

(Reporter: cosentino1960, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/118.0

Steps to reproduce:

Good morning the system updated my TB to version 115.3.1 but from that moment, apart from the graphic setting that I didn't like, I found a usability problem: the pointer to the messages, moves autonomously to the previous messages and does not point, as it did before, to the latest arrival. This strange behavior makes the program unpleasant to use and wastes a lot of time bringing down the message list with possible errors having to type keys and move the cursor. Is it possible to fix this error? Thank you.

Actual results:

I'm currently getting seasick. :(

Expected results:

That, as in all previous versions and in all mail programs, the pointer to the message always goes to the last available and not randomly to any message in the list.
Thank you.

The problem into 115.4.1 version is present still present...

The fix for bug 1827042 has just reached beta and should be available in one of the next 115 point releases. The description in the 115.4.1 release notes ("Message list did not automatically scroll to new messages when switching folders") is slightly misleading as it only refers to the scenario fixed in bug 1850190.

I hope that this beta fix will become definitive very soon and will be released right away. Bye.
