Emilio, it seems that ::before does no more work on the .toolbarbutton-menubutton-dropmarker we use here: https://searchfox.org/comm-central/source/mail/themes/shared/mail/messenger.css#444-455
Is this an issue of the <dropmarker>? We use it in the messageheader on the Reply All button or on some in the composer toolbar.

Well the <dropmarker> is just a plain image now so it makes sense that it doesn't generate pseudo-elements. Can you use a border there?

Yes, my actual patch uses already the border.
