With bug 1857120, there is a first pass at making selection state clear in high contrast. This can be improved by revisiting the black bar on the side in dark high contrast themes and the light color bar on the side in light color themes. The selection bar could be improved.

In the new Cards View UI, ensure color contrast for selected, focus, and context menu states works for cards in high contrast themes.
