User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/119.0
Steps to reproduce:
Mark any email with a keyword (important, work, personal) and move this mail to any custom subfolder.
Actual results:
The mail has been moved to the selected folder, but lost all keywords (important, work, personal, ...).
Expected results:
The mail has been moved to the selected folder and keep all keywords (important, work, personal, ...) the same.

Works for me (tested imap).
Are you using an imap account? Maybe buggy server...

Hi Magnus, thank you very much, your tip has at least taken me a step further. I assumed that the keywords or tags are not synchronised with the IMAP server anyway. At least this has never worked for me, so I assumed that these tags are only stored in the local Thunderbird database. Hence the assumption that the new Thunderbird Nova version contains a bug that disrupts this function.
Following your suggestion that this should be synchronised against the server, I have checked and indeed see that the mail files on the server get a flag set when I tag the mails.
Without tag: 1700143437.M542103P19151.mx1,S=28428,W=29003:2,S
With tag (Key 1, Important): 1700143437.M542103P19151.mx1,S=28428,W=29003:2,Sk
Brilliant, that means I can theoretically synchronise tags, I didn't realise that.
If I manually rename the email on the IMAP server and manually remove or set the 'k' flag, Thunderbird recognises the change and adjusts it correctly.
The only question now is why the tags disappear when I move them, because Thunderbird and the IMAP server obviously talk to each other.
