Could you please test if setting layout.css.scroll-anchoring.enabled
to false
in the Config Editor makes a difference? (In the config editor, just type in anchoring.e
and click on the toggle button on the right.)
I try but this suggestion don't resolve the problem, sorry.
The problem still exists today. Other users report the same problem yet.
I currently have version 115.6.0 installed
Bye.
bug 1827042 is similar

But only affects virtual and saved searches, not single folders?
All the time. The only test I can do is change virtual machine manager but I don't know when I will be able to do it. Hello.

When this was fixed for ESR 115 in bug 1827042, it was implemented this way:
This scrolls the view to the most relevant end of the tree if no selections are to be
restored, no new message has been scrolled to just before, and no user scrolling has been
detected before all messages have been loaded.
So maybe some scrolling was detected for some reason?
FYI: Today I found a/the reason/solution for this: disable the "Compact" (view) "Density"/set the (view) "Density" to "Default" (within the 3-stripes menu button)

(In reply to sokai from comment #9)
FYI: Today I found a/the reason/solution for this: disable the "Compact" (view) "Density"/set the (view) "Density" to "Default" (within the 3-stripes menu button)
Small addition (after messing around with CSS while trying to re-create the "Compact" view): Adding (only) tr[is="thread-row"] { height: 18px !important; }
(which is the current "Compact" height) in my .thunderbird/*.default/chrome/userChrome.css
shows the correct spacing, but produces some glitches in the message list rendering, everytime I load/click on a folder …
