User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021212 When I click on sign out I see an intermediate page which changes too quickly to read but I think it says that the sign out was unsuccessful. In any case the sign out option remains indicating that I am still signed in. This was the url of the sign out : http://login.passport.com/logout.srf?lc=1033&id=24002&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fgroups%2Emsn%2Ecom%2Fhome%2Emsnw&tw=43200&kv=4&ct=1041326443&cb=wsredir%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fgroups%252Emsn%252Ecom%252Fhome%252Emsnw%253F&ems=1&kpp=3&ver=2.1.0191.1&tpf=abd0f853bbf43279c30821c8abbe012c Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Sign in to MSN passport 2.Sign out 3.Observe intermediate status page and capture if possible 4.Verify still signed in with sign out option remaining Actual Results: Still signed in Expected Results: Sign out? Not sure if this is the fault of Moz. probably not, if so it is still something for advocacy
I have no trouble to sign out of MSN. (I use 1.3b Gecko/20021230 under WinXP).
I don't suppose there is much difference between 20021230 and 20021215 which is the only difference I can identify at the moment. Do you get an intermediate screen displaying the status of the logout? Do you know how this could be caught? Perhaps we need to compare our prefs.js .
I always use default config's. I see source of this sing-out, it use cookies. Could you delete MSN cookies and try again?
OK I deleted all the cookies from MSN and then succeeded with my sign out so you are correct. However I am not sure why this should be but thanks for showing me the way out anyway.
This is could be effect of previously incorrectly saved cookies or something like it. I not sure, that it is was bug at all.
Agreed.

I can reproduce this every time and each time I have to remove msn/passport cookies before I can successfully log out.
