User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/121.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Writing a new email
Actual results:
While writing an email, if a TB notification comes, the notification takes priority over compose window and it requires to click on the window to continue writing
Expected results:
The compose window should remain active
In title it says 'Windows notification', but in comment it says 'TB notification'.
Please clarify - are you using the Thunderbird notification or the Windows OS notification ?
I use the Thunderbird notification and I've just been typing away whilst notification arrived, displayed and after afew seconds disappeared - I had no issues and focus did remain in Write compose window.
Mind you the Write window is not working correctly. I can keep typing and it does not look like I've typed because it has not wrapped to window width so some text is hidden, then suddenly it wraps - it seems related to the Message Header 'To' text box being visible on far right - i'll have to create a new bug for that.
ok,
sorry if it is not clear...
I'm talking about the notification at the bottom right of the screen. don't know if it is Thunderbird or Windows generated.
But I've made a short video to illustrate my issue... hope that will help you to catch my point ;)

thank you
And I wrote "TB notification" in the comment because it is only when a notification of new message in TB comes that I loose the focus on compose window. I did not noticed that with notifications of other softwares.
And I did not noticed that on my Ubuntu PC neither
Thank you
