Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Crash Firefox using "about:crashparent".
  3. Click the "Restart Firefox" button in the "Mozilla Crash Reporter" dialog.

Expected result

  • Firefox restarts after sending the crash report.

Actual result

  • Firefox fails to restart.

Regression range

  • The issue appears to happen from the changes introduced in Firefox 115.9.0esr, as the last good build was Firefox 115.8.0esr. Looking at the issues, I think Bug 1874235 could be the cause for this behavior.
