In nightly, if I enter full screen mode for a video when I am in portrait mode then I get some empty space at the top of the video and no way to adjust volume, or fast forward in the video. Attached an image for clarification. This seems to be a recent regression.

Hey Denis, thanks for reporting this bug.
What device are you using, with which Android version?
Does it happen all the time, with any video?

I can reproduce something similar in Nightly (Pixel 7, Android 14), but the empty space is at the bottom and black for me.

I couldn't reproduce it with a version of Nightly from 2 days ago (July 17th), it's most probably a recent regression.

For some reason I can reproduce the exact same behavior as what is shown on Denis' screenshot, on debug build from yesterday.

Yup, it reproduces with any video. I'm using a Pixel 6 on Android 14.

It seems to be a duplicate of Bug 1907519.
