Preconditions
Firefox for Android is set as default browser.
Steps to reproduce
- Open an external app (i.e. Gmail, Instagram, Slack) and tap on a link.
- Long tap the URL > Tap "Copy".
- Observe the snackbar.
Expected behavior
The snackbar does not overlap the navigation bar.
Actual behavior
The snackbar is displayed on top of the navigation bar.
Device information
- Firefox version: Nightly 130.0a1
- Android device model: Google Pixel 8 Pro
- Android OS version: Android 14
Copying the URL to clipboard from the share menu (long tap the share icon on the address bar/open the 3 dot menu > tap on "Copy to clipboard") overlaps:
- the address bar when the address bar is set to bottom
- the navigation toolbar when the address bar is set to top
This issue is now fixed in the latest Nightly 130.0a1 from 07/31 with Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android 14), with the work done in 1906657.
- When copying the URL from the address bar, only the OS copy to clipboard pop-up is displayed.
- When copying the URL to clipboard from the share menu (long tap the share icon on the address bar/open the 3 dot menu > tap on share), only the OS copy to clipboard pop-up is displayed.
However, 2 issues were observed which will be handled in separate issues:
- For devices with Android 13+, there are 3 snackbars still displayed while the OS copy to clipboard pop-up is also displayed, but not overlapping:
- Long tap a link > Tap "Copy link"
- Long tap a linked image > Tap "Copy image location”
- Long tap a linked image > Tap "Copy link"
This will be tracked in 1802247.
- For devices with Android < 13, the "copied to clipboard" snack bar (long tap the share icon on the address bar/open the 3 dot menu > tap on copy to clipboard) is no longer displayed in the latest Nightly version. Filed a new ticket for this issue, 1910936. Issue observed with OPPO A15s (Android 10).
