Steps to reproduce:

Some users are reporting that Firefox keeps resetting browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled:

I'm not affected by this issue. Please investigate what is causing it.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I can reproduce this bug.

This is a problem with our rollout experiment: it overwrites the browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled pref every time Firefox restarts. In the meantime, instead of setting the browser.tabs.hoverPreview.enabled pref = false, you can set the browser.tabs.hoverPreview.showThumbnails pref = false to turn off the thumbnail images.

I am having this issue as I want to disable the previews entirely. I find it's better to remove the study: go to about:studies and remove 'Tab Hover Preview Release Rollout'.

Fixed by bug 1914781 in Fx 131.
