Steps to reproduce:

1. Enable the beta feature for turning on picture-in-picture on change tab away from playing video.
2. Go to page with video file being used as a gif (Not the main focus of the page, don't care if it's playing on a different tab). eg: https://diffusionillusions.com/
3. switch tabs

Actual results:

picture-in-picture mode activates for the video file. I was surprised by this, because I thought it was just a gif

Expected results:

It should not have activated picture-in-picture mode. Same behavior as for gifs

Exact text for the experimental option I'm talking about:
"Picture-in-Picture: auto-open on tab switch"
"Enable Picture-in-Picture on active videos when switching tabs."

While testing in the latest Firefox 132.0b4 I noticed that the GIF files used in the comments section on https://9gag.com/ are auto-triggered in Pip( e.g. https://9gag.com/gag/adBL8w2#comment).

I can confirm that the fix in bug 1920097 has resolved the originally mentioned issue on https://diffusionillusions.com/. Tested in the latest Nightly v133.0a1 in Windows 10.
