The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Toolkit::Password Manager' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I too am affected by this. Confirm it raised its head in 132 and persists in 133 Beta. The Primary Password prompt reoccurs around 3 hours after the previous prompting, during the same session, on both Windows and MacOS.

The issue is quite intermittent for me. I haven't had a recurrence since my post 5 days ago.
the prompt always happens whenever you have a password field whether it's visible or invisible.
i'm stating this because on some pages even without a visible password fields i get those popups, e.g. i'm currenty playing hero wars, whenever i load the game - popup.
no matter how much you reload, it always comes.
fix is easy: ask it once, and then only if you explicitly request it. ways to explicitly request it:
- introduce a password icon in the address bar that shows that your passwords are currently locked
- in a password field in the context menu or in the autocomplete dropdown introduce an item "enter primary password"

Not sure why there's been a spat of "duplicate...." entires here, but this issue is not solved. Keeps happening and is super annoying.

Thanks for the report! It seems there are a few recent issues that are similar in nature. We are currently trying to narrow down the cause.
