Desktop allows you to specify an exact order for bookmarks in a folder, but Fenix never allows you to see the bookmarks in this order.

Not sure if this was technically regressed by bug 1953992, but that bug still doesn't give the user the control to see bookmarks in the order they carefully curated on desktop.

I dont believe that Fenix ever showed bookmarks in the user defined order. Before the update it was always alphabetically with the bookmarks on top.

Jeff said this was closed by accident. I'm also updating the title to be clearer - this bug isn't specifically to allow a custom order to be defined on Android devices, but rather to allow Android to display the specific custom order the user already specified on Desktop.

For QA:

Please verify this with the following steps:

1. Create a few bookmarks in a fresh install
2. Log into Sync with a Firefox Desktop account also added
3. On Desktop, reorder the new bookmarks using the bookmark manager
4. Sync both devices again
5. In the bookmarks screen, sort the bookmarks by "Custom order" using the sort menu in the toolbar
6. Verify the bookmarks match the order that was established on desktop

Verified as implemented: the order established on Desktop is correctly displayed on mobile when selecting to "Sort by custom order" on Android.
Tested on the Firefox for Android Nightly 140.0a1 from 5/15 with Vivo v23 (Android 14), and Google Pixel 6 (Android 16).
