These may not be the only contexts where the CSS is now needed to retain the behaviour,
but they're the ones which caused tests to fail.

This was left open for the following things that might need to be addressed (and possibly more):

• The get new messages menu in the file menu in the menubar is missing the gutter for some items (linux)
• The message list display options has a double icon on MacOS on the sort option
