Steps to reproduce:
macOS 26 Tahoe has introduced new icon and widget styles: default, dark, clear and tinted. The icons supplied with an application should follow the user preference and adapt to the chosen style. The most recent release, version 144.0, does not do so on my system.
Actual results:
When choosing "dark", "clear", or "tinted" in System Settings > Appearance > Icon & widget style, the Thunderbird app icon stays the same as in "default" mode.
Expected results:
The icon should adapt to the chosen icon & widget style. I have included three screenshots to illustrate how other app icons (including Firefox, which has a separate open request for enhancement to adapt to Liquid Glass in bug 1989223) behave.

For inspiration: KeePassXC and LibreOffice were able to implement this quite easily. And of course Firefox already has a Liquid Glass icon.
