I'm unsure how any of that is relevant. Those just seem to discuss other bugs that should be on file.

I wanted to add some context, since this bug did not provide a description of the issue and whether the planned migration will remove the legacy about:profiles system or not. Right now, the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-management SUMO KB article tells users that both profile systems co-exist and the related article discussion thread I posted links to https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussions/try-out-firefox-profiles-in-nightly/td-p/84223 (quote) This feature is separate from the about:profiles experience, and we currently have no plans to change how about:profiles works. You may continue to use about:profiles if that is better for your workflow.
See this post (quote) currently, a profile created via the legacy Profile manager does not show up in the Profiles menu, and vice versa. The good news is that migration from old-style profiles to modern ones is in development (here's the bug). ... which links to this bug report.
Another related discussion, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-management/discuss/14015 (quote) We might also want to explain that these new profiles do not appear on the about:profiles page ... and that new profiles created using the original about:profiles manager don't appear in the new Profiles menu on the toolbar.

Adds a Migrate button to profiles in about:profiles that are elligible for migration. This is profiles
that are not currently in use and don't already have multiple profiles grouped with them.
