This bug enables the preference layout.abspos.fragmentainer-aware-positioning.enabled on all channels. Any bugs that must be fixed before enabling this preference should block this bug.

Depends on: 2002131
Summary: Enable layout.abspos.fragmentainer-aware-positioning.enabled in all channels → Enable layout.abspos.fragmentainer-aware-positioning.enabled on all channels
Whiteboard: [anchorpositioning:continuation]
Points: --- → 1
Whiteboard: [anchorpositioning:continuation] → [anchorpositioning:reserve]

I’ve added all the bugs that I believe are necessary to enable the pref.

Marking this for triage again, as it blocks fixing other multicol anchor-positioning WPTs in 2026.

Did you want to nominate this for the Fx151 relnotes? Please add a relnote-firefox? nomination to the bug if so.

Flags: needinfo?(aethanyc)

(The Release Note Request is adapted from bug 2018797 comment 5, which was nominated when the pref is enabled on Nightly only. I tweak the "Suggested wording" by s/Firefox 150/Firefox 151/ and s/Firefox Nightly/Firefox.)

Release Note Request (optional, but appreciated)
[Why is this notable]: Enabling the pref addresses incorrect positioning and fragmentation of absolutely positioned elements across multi-column container, improving interoperability with other browsers. It also prevents layout glitches (e.g. overlapping text) or content loss when printing absolutely positioned elements.
[Affects Firefox for Android]: Yes.
[Suggested wording]: Starting with Firefox 151, Firefox improves the rendering of absolutely positioned elements across multi-column containers and in printing, ensuring a more accurate element positioning and fragmentation.
[Links (documentation, blog post, etc)]: N/A

Thanks, added to the Fx151 nightly release notes, please allow 30 minutes for the site to update.
Keeping the relnote-firefox flag as ? to keep it on the radar for inclusion in the final Fx151 release notes.
