User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:147.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/147.0
Steps to reproduce:
Opened the "about:support" page from the Menu button -> Help -> More troubleshooting information.
Looked for the "Give Firefox a tune up" header with a "Refresh Firefox..." button underneath.
Actual results:
No "Give Firefox a tune up" header with a "Refresh Firefox..." button underneath was shown.
Expected results:
The "Give Firefox a tune up" header with a "Refresh Firefox..." button underneath should have been shown, as it is on the "about:support" page in Fx 147.0.2 (64-bit) on my Ubuntu Linux machine.

Issue is not reproducing on Win11 (ARM64) / Ubuntu 24.04 using Firefox build 147.0.2, Refresh Firefox is displayed on both, this is while using legacy profiles.
On Win11x64 if using selectable profiles this information is not show on about:support.
ErlingR, can you please mention the exact build, profile and platform used? Thank you.
Firefox build: 147.0.3 (aarch64)
Profile: I am not sure what is meant by legacy vs. selectable profiles, so I am not able to tell if I am using one or the other.
Please advice if this is something I can find out from Settings or in some other way.
I do have approx. 20 different profiles on my machine, since I have installed several older versions needed for screenshots related to translation of KB articles (localisation).

Hi Erling,
Legacy profiles are profiles that you create from the about:profiles page, while selectable profiles are profiles that you create from the new Profile Management. At the moment, we have limitation with profiles created from the Profile Management (see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1928138) which cause users to not be able to perform browser refresh.
Do you remember how you created the profile that experience this issue?
No, I'm afraid I don't.
The chances are that I didn't manually create the profile. It was created when I installed Firefox on this machine in December 2025, when the machine was new.
I'm pretty sure I downloaded the Firefox install .exe file from firefox.com, not from Micosoft Store, in case that makes any difference.
I guess that I have a "Profile Management" type of profile, since I guess this is the default in an install done in Dec 2025.
If my assumptions are right, I can live with not having a Refresh button, since I know the reason.
By the way, does this affect Firefox installations on other OSs than Windows?
I have since after 1.1.2026 installed three Linux distributions all with Firefox pre-installed. At least in the Ubuntu Firefox, the Refresh button is present. I will check the two others tonight.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure about that either. You may want to ask directly on bug1928138 instead.

In case it helps, see bug 2000860 comment 10 I just posted (the Refresh Firefox option is still available in the Firefox uninstaller and works, even though I'm using the selectable profile management system in Firefox Beta 148 on Windows 11 and Refresh Firefox is missing from about:support.)

See also bug 2000860 comment 11. The about: support "Give Firefox a tune up" header with a "Refresh Firefox..." button is available to me in Firefox 147 and 148 Beta on Windows 11 (64-bit en-US) with the new selectable profile management system, as long as I haven't created a new profile. See the explanation posted by jscher2000 in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1548459#answer-1781449

For the record, bug 1928138 has been resolved as FIXED in Firefox version 150 ... at which point, this issue will no longer exist.

Erling,
Can you help test this on Firefox 150 later and confirm if this is good on your end?

Yes, as soon as my ARM64/Win11 machine is updated with Fx150, I will test and report back here.

Now, with Fx150.0.1 (aarch64) installed, the Refresh Firefox (Gi Firefox en overhaling) button is visible.
This issue may be closed as far as I can see.
