Replace Bookmarks Toolbar Items in "customize" (toolbar) dialog with a option to
show this folder on the toolbar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.click customize on the toolbar


Actual Results:  
Items on "bookmarks toolbar" changes into bookmarks tool bar items for toolbar
customization.

Expected Results:  
Items should change into $FOLDER_NAME: on the toolbarcustomization panel there
should be a way to drag other folders onto the toolbar

There is a way to set as Bookmarks Toolbar Folder.
1. Click [Bookmarks]-[Manage Bookmarks...]
2. Select a folder. And [View]-[Set As Bookmarks Toolbar Folder].

Are you requesting implementation another method to do this?
(If yes, this bug should be RFE.)
Or just you didn't notice about this feature?

What I'm proposing is a means to have more than one folder on the toolbar so I
guess it should be RFE

Don't understand this. You can just add folders under the bookmark toolbar
folder.

Or you can drag your existing folders into the bookmark toolbar folder.

different locations.

T_Moz: I don't see the benefit of this. Why sould anyone place some folders from
different locations on the Bookmarks toolbar, when he could easily achieve that,
by placing these folders beneath the bookmarks toolbar folder (as a copy, if he
wishes)?

These two attachments try to explain what I was thinking when I filied this
bug. The first Image shows what I was hoping to be able to do. the second shows
a possible means to do so by creating a tabbed interface for the customize
toolbar dialog. Presumeably extensions like GoogleBar or a Yahoo Companion
could make new tabs in this dialog instead of having a long scrollbar.

toolbar dialog".
I still couldn't understand the benefit to do so.

The benefit would be that you could fit more bookmarks on toolbars.

My personal toolbar is squeezed for space, even if I organize both bookmarks and
bookmarklets into subfolders and give each item a short name.  I'd love to be
able to put some bookmarks next to the menubar and other bookmarks in their own
toolbar.

I'm changing the summary to "Ability to have bookmarks on multiple toolbars". 
There are several ways this can be done:

a) Allow setting multiple "bookmark toolbar folders" in Manage Bookmarks.

b) Include a bookmark-folder picker in Customize Toolbars.  (Like T_Moz's
suggestion.)

c) Allow dragging individual bookmarks to any toolbar.  (Like Opera 7.)  
  i) ... and automatically create bookmark folders called "Bookmarks on Menubar"
and "Bookmarks on Navigation Toolbar" when bookmarks are added to other
toolbars.  (Might require forcing the bookmarks on each toolbar to be adjacent,
which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.)
  ii) ... and don't show bookmarks on toolbars other than the Bookmarks Toolbar
in Manage Bookmarks.  (Like Opera 7.)

a) and b) would only add a little bit of UI when there is only one toolbar with
bookmarks on it.  c) would add no extra UI except for dropability.

More than just related, this really is a dupe of 184504 as both are effectively
asking for the same functionality (multiple bookmark toolbar folders).
