- Firefox 151.0.1
Tested platforms

Steps to reproduce
- Access GFN
- Start any game that can make use of Voice chat (ex. Rocket League)
Expected result
- The microphone is detected and Voice Chat works while in game
Actual result
- Although the mic is detected and allowed permission, the Voice chat does not work while in game
Additional notes
- Mic permission can be seen in attachment
- This has been tried on Rocket League
- Ubuntu 24 seems to be working alright, haven't tried on macOS.
- This was tested with internal laptop microphone (Conexant) and bluetooth Skullcandy Crusher microphone (both working as expected in Chrome on the same system)

Hi Catalin, how does "Voice chat does not work while in game" manifest? E.g:
- Does UI say it is working (and if so, is our mic icon in the address bar red?) although other participant's don't hear you? or
- Does UI somehow indicate there's a problem?

Hi Andreas. As an example for Rocket League, the default "Voice chat" setting in game is set as "Open mic", so just speaking will indicate a microphone sign along with the player name on the left part of the screen.
This has been tested on Firefox (Ubuntu 24.04 - working) to Firefox (Windows 11 - not working), and while I could hear my colleague speaking, he could not hear me at all (no voice was detected on my end, although Firefox asked for microphone access before entering the game).
After that I switched to Chrome on the same system (Windows 11) and we could talk to each other without issues directly in game.

I just tested with the latest Nightly, which has the fix from bug 2042957, and I can no longer reproduce this problem. I was able to repro it reliably with older version of Firefox.
Catalin -- Can I ask you to retest and see if it works for you now also using the latest Nightly (20260529091611)? Thank you!
