User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030526 Build Identifier: There is a couple of bugs, still appearing in the 1.4rc1 release notes, although they are already fixed. This leads to a growing release notes page, not showing any progress in fixing bugs to the user... The bugs, which should be removed, are: * Navigator - If the Location Bar does not respond to the Enter/Return key, you can use the temporary workaround of pasting the URL into File | Open Web ocation. To fix it, close Mozilla , then delete your history.dat and localstore.rdf. (Bug 90337) * Mail and News - Mail account identity is not stored along with an unsent message. (Bug 59548) * Mail and News - Address Book - Copying a large number of addresses between address books may cause crash. (Bug 82991) * Printing - Mac OS and Linux: Transparent backgrounds are printed as black. (Bug 137114, 137115) <- Linux should be removed, because Bug 137115 seems to work Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
There are two new features added in 1.4 cycle that I would like to get included in the release notes: * XPointer support (http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/xml/#linking) * WSDL (high level web services) (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/webservices/)
FYI, bug 206550 is about updating the I18N release notes for 1.4. I found that editing users.js is mentioned in a few places including under the heading of "Setting User Preferences using user.js" http://www.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla1.4rc1/index.html#setprefs On the other hand, 'about:config' is only mentioned in a passing manner. I guess it has be mentioned more explicitly because it offers a more user-friendly way to change otherwise unexposed configuration options within Mozilla. I also suggest that we define a new CSS class 'mozmenu' and enclose all the references to Mozilla menu (e.g. 'View | Text Zoom') with '<span class="mozmenu">' and '</span>' as I did in my draft for I18N release notes (attachment 124524 [details]).
