In Thunderbird, there are two ways to get to the preferences window: Edit ->
Properties... and Tools -> Options. One of these should probably be removed as
they are redundant.

My build only has Tools / Options. There is no menu item under edit called
'Properties'.

What build are you using? I am using build 20030724.

Okay, I have more information on this bug. If you're in a folder it says
"Edit->Folder Options". However, when you're in the 'account summary' then it
says Options.

Edit -> Folder Properties... shows the Folder Properties dialog.
Edit -> Properties... shows the Account Settings dialog.
Neither are the Options dialog, but you could say that Edit -> Properties...
does the same thing as Tools -> Account Settings...

My mistake: account options.

I still don't see Edit-> Properties in Thunderbird. If you're using 07/24, then
that's a self-made build, and you probably shouldn't report bugs against it.

If you have the account name highlighted in the folder view pane, then there is
an Edit | Properties. Clicking on that gets you to the exact same place as Tools
| Account Settings, as pointed out by Stephen in comment #4. The Edit |
Properties access point is therefore redundant.

I suspect this incorrect labeling may be related to bug 249620.

I don't see this on Windows or Linux. I'm guessing this has been fixed by another bug in the intervening years.
