On MacOSX 10.2.6 and Thunderbird(20030727)
When close all window of Thunderbird, menu list changes like Mozilla.
For example,
File->New->Navigator window,Navigator Tab,...
Window->Navigator,Composer(Composer launched like Mozilla)

But no menu item for reopen window,if I want to reopen window then 
I should restart Thunderbird.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.close all window of Thunderbird

Actual Results:  
No menu for reopen main window

Expected Results:  
reopen main windos from [window] menu.

Uh... This bug did NOT get fixed by the duplicate bug.  What's up with verifying duplicates before the original is fixed?  :(

This has been driving me nuts for over a year now, and I kept thinking it must be filed already....  Clearly it was, until it got incorrectly closed.

Basically, we need a "new mailnews window" option on Mac.  And maybe everywhere...

Doesn't the one I put in the Mac-place, the Window menu, work for you?

Huh.  Yeah, that works.  If was looking for it in the File menu.

I think it still makes sense to be able to open more than one mailnews window without the context menu mess, but that's probably a separate bug that I'll try to file when my net connection is sucking less.  Sorry for the spam....
