It used be work correct, so when I closed the mail client, reopened it, the filter would still be toggled "last 5 days" and display the last five days of mail. However this was a 1.4 build. with all 1.5 builds I tested sofar, after reopening the mail client, indeed the filter is still toggled "last 5 days" but all mail is displayed instead of just the last five days. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open mail 2.select last 5 days filter 3.close mail and open again Actual Results: all mail is displayes instead of last five days Expected Results: display just the last five days of mail
Replicated in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030820 Switching folders doesn't help, the mailview is still not applied; only selecting a mailview changes the filtering. If Mozilla remains open, and the mail/news window is closed then re-opened, then the mailview is correctly applied; all Moz windows need to be closed first for bug to manifest. Updating summary to more general description. Doesn't happen in 1.4, as reported; adding 'regression' keyword.

in recent trunk (20030917ish), the correct view doesn't even remain toggled between sessions. In particular, the pref mailnews.view.last isn't being changed from "0" = All to any other value. Is this bug still a problem for anyone with 1.6b nightlies? I just tried it in 1.6b-1120 and couldn't replicate it.

I confirm, that its solved in 20031206. But, there is new problem in Message View Setup. steps: 1. click View drop down box 2. choose Customize ... 3. New... 4. select "Label" "is" 5. in 3rd drop down list, you cannot see anything readable. It seems, that there are some pozistions in list, but are not readable (3 pixels hight)
