I've got 11 mail identities, and when I bring up
a mail compose window, and click on the "To:" html select
picker (to choose my identity) the z-order is messed up.
I'll attached a screen shot.

marking dogfood, as it prevents me from selecting my last few identities.
the last few are hidden under the editor widget in the compose window.

From the screenshot it looks like combobox dropdown is being clipped against all
native windows.
Reassigning to Rod.
Putting on the PDT- radar. Spoke with sspitzer. You can do 6 mail identities
before this clips.

Patrick, I think the clipping is incorrect for views with native windows and I
think this is the same bug that I had assigned to you a while back as a blocker.
When a dropdown list drops down over another view that has a native widget it
gets clipped out.
I tried setting the z-index on the dropdown to a zero and then to a 10 and
neither seemed to fix the problem. This bug will go away when we have gotten rid
of all but one native window, so I don't know if it is worth spending any time
on.

It's not a z-index problem, but a clipping problem. I think it's because the view
is opaque, and that causes parent clipping to occur. Opaque views that go outside
of their parents only work if we're using fixed-positioning.

yuck, I don't like that release note.
we can support more than 6 identities.
the only problem is in the compose window, there is a html select widget bug and
the identity picker is cut off.
you can still use the other identities.
I'd rather the release note say that.
(should we move to using a title button and a cascading menu? that will
probably solve this problem, and look better)

I saw a checkin to html.css yesterday which may fix this. try with today's
build, see if it's working.

marking fixed.
