In Tools > Options there are 7 icons on the left. Clicking and releasing on an
icon will highlight in in a dark color indicating it is "active" in the window
on the right. You can mouse over any of the icons to get a lighter color highlight.

1) The first bug is found when you click and release on an icon to give it a
dark highlight, click and hold down another icon and drag that on top of another
icon. After that you will have two highlighted icons.

2) The second bug is easier to find. Click on any icon then click on the
"General" icon. You will get two highlighted items. "General" isn't even the
dark one, but it is the active section on the right.

3) To complicate the 2nd problem...follow those steps then click and drag the
dark Highlighted icon over top of another icon. You will see the "General
Section" on the right with a completely different icon highlighted on the left
in dark color.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Problem #1
1.Go to Tools > Options
2.Click and release on any icon on left to highlight in dark
3.Click and hold down on any other icon and drag that onto another icon

Problem #2
1.Go to Tools > Options
2.Click on any icon besides the "General" icon
3.Click on the "General" icon

Problem #3
1.Go to Tools > Options
2.Click on any icon besides the "General" icon
3.Click on the "General" icon
4.Two highlighted items
5.Drag the dark highlighted icon over top of another icon.
Actual Results:
Problem #1

Problem #2

Problem #3

Not the same bug. I left this separate for a reason.

there's some ugly ways to hack around this, basically :hover blows for this type
of thing :)

This is real ugly and obviously incorrect looking. I think somethink needs to
be done before 0.8 is released. If we can't fix this before 0.8, could we
remove the hover stuff and not have the light blue color on hover?

Actually what makes this bug particularaly noticable, and in my opinion needs to
be fixed for 0.8. Is that now that the Tools->Options remembers which window
you had opened last time, and goes back to that upon re-clicking on Tools->
Options, the General tab always has the light blue color. Perhaps a second bug
should be opened on just that part of ths and marked as a blocker to 0.8. I am
opening a bug on that piece now.

wgianopoulos@yahoo.com filed bug 227713, "General ICON incorrectly highlighted
in Tools->Options", and nominated it for blocking0.8.

Right clicking on a non-selected icon also causes a persistent extra hover highlight.
its non-critical, it is actually fixed on trunk

If this is fixed on the trunk and isn't going to go in Firebird 0.8, shouldn't
we go ahead and close this bug?
yes, probably

reopen if this regresses at some point

This bug is still in sunbird. Should a second bug be opened?
