Hi guys, this is my first enhancement request
It would be nice if tje mail filter module, the user can chose If mail is marked
as Junk as a criteria of filtering
And, Forward to.... as an action of filtering.
This feature is useful to manage Spam mail that you want to forward to an abuse
mailbox like abuse@myISP.fr
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Forwarding to abuse@isp seems like a dangerous application of such a feature to me.
The junk mail filter is adaptive and especially in the "training" phase [but
possibly also later] it will generate some "false positives", i.e., mail that is
OK will be marked junk. Forwarding that to black lists and ISPs will cause more
problems than solve 'em.
Such things should NOT happen blindly and automatically.
To that part i recommend WONTFIX.
Besides, the current Junk Mail routines already allow you to move a JUNK Message
to another folder/account registered with Mozilla Mail.
junk as criteria of filtering: read bug 183104 comment 3.
Forward to... filtering action: bug 11034
forwarding junk: bug 112315 or bug 181466.
