User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20040103 Firebird/0.7+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6b) Gecko/20040103 Firebird/0.7+ If I have message 5 selected, and I mark messages 1, 3, and 10 as junk (causing them to be deleted), the selection advances through 6, 7, and 8. This is even more annoying on a slow IMAP server, when the selection changes at seemingly random times. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a message. 2. Mark a *different* message as junk by clicking on the message's junk column. Actual Results: The selection advances to the next message. Expected Results: The selection should not change.
This also bothers me a lot, on WinXP, since I get a fair amount of spam that the filters don't catch. Confirming, changing OS to All.

Ever confirmed: true
OS: Linux → All
Stills happends in 0.7.2 on WinXP
To reproduce, mark as Junk an email as Junk that is "above" the current selected email.
Or below, it makes no difference. This isn't a complicated problem... all that's happening is that the selection is getting advanced whenever any message is deleted, which is braindead behavior. It should either be removed altogether, or fixed to only advance the selection if the *selected* message was deleted.
