If you right click on the trash folder, you get the chance to "empty trash"
I'd like to suggest a similar facility for the junk folder.
I'd like to suggest a switch on tools-options-advanced to select "empty junk
mail folder on exit". Logic would suggest a similar switch for the trash as well
I'm really surprised no-one has made these remarks before, but I can't find it
by searching.
