There should be the same buttons in Firefox's preferences, like in Thunderbird. I now, there is an extension, wich adds "install new theme" in preferences, but I think Thunderbird and Firefox should have the same options. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox Options -> Themes 2. 3. Actual Results: There is no button to install a local stored theme. (same for extensions) Expected Results: There should be a button, to install a new theme like in Thunderbird. (same for extensions)
you can browse to the local XPI from the address bar. Thunderbird's UI is only that way because you don't have the ability to install from the web. This all changes once the extension manager lands anyway.

(In reply to comment #1) Thank you very much. Sorry for bugspam. I have a Firefox build, with an early version of the new extension manager, there are buttons to uninstall and update extensions. Will the new extension manager have also a button to install new themes/extension? I'm looking forward to the new extension manager. Thank you.
